How to Use Free ChatGPT for Meeting Notes, Task Tables, Replies and Captions

Updated 16 October 2026 · by AutomateWithAI

Quick answer: Paste your notes into ChatGPT (the free tier works) and ask: "Turn these notes into a table with columns Task, Owner, Deadline and Status." For captions and replies, give it your topic, audience and tone, ask for several options, then edit the best one so it sounds like you. Free users have usage limits set by OpenAI.

Can I do this on free ChatGPT?

Yes. OpenAI's ChatGPT has a free tier that handles text tasks like summarising notes, making tables and drafting captions. Free users get limited access to the most advanced models, and OpenAI sets and changes the limits. Don't paste private or sensitive information you wouldn't want to share.

How do I turn meeting notes into a task table?

  1. Paste your raw notes: a brand call, a collab chat or your own brain dump.
  2. Prompt: "Turn these notes into a table with columns: Task, Owner, Deadline, Status. If a deadline isn't mentioned, write 'not set'. Then list any open questions."
  3. Check every row against your notes. AI can misread or invent details.
  4. Copy the table into Google Sheets or Notion to track it.

What's a good prompt for Instagram captions?

"Write 5 Instagram captions for a reel about [topic] for [audience]. Tone: [friendly, direct]. Each starts with a strong first line, stays under 150 words, and ends with one question to invite comments. Suggest 5 relevant hashtags."

Pick one, rewrite it in your own words and check any facts. If the reel features a realistic AI person or voice, turn on Instagram's AI info label.

How do I draft replies to comments and DMs?

"Here are 10 comments on my reel. Draft a short, friendly reply to each, under 25 words, in a casual tone. Don't promise anything I didn't say."

Read every reply before posting. Keep replies personal and varied, and don't mass-send identical messages, which can look like spam.

A simple weekly workflow

  1. Monday: paste last week's notes and get a task table.
  2. Brainstorm 7 reel ideas and hooks.
  3. Draft captions for the 3 you'll film.
  4. After posting, draft replies to early comments and edit them before sending.
